When listening to this I get the picture of early morning. Early morning dew on the grass, and temperatures a little cooler than you expected. The sun has not yet said hello, but you planned it this way. You wanted to say hello first this time. You say “Goodmorning” out loud, hoping that nobody hears you, and then it happens. You can’t tell if the warmth you’re feeling is from the rays of light or the joy you are experiencing from the view. Clouds are highlighted, and show themselves in ways that were unseen minutes ago. It’s quiet but the soundtrack that you are picturing is not. Big and powerful, yet graceful and soothing. Never annoying, and never unimpressive. It’s good, beautiful.
A new day. A fresh start. A reminder that things are bigger than yourself, and the anxieties that you will face today and maybe this hour seem small. You feel loved, empowered, re-energized and focused on today. Today, not yesterday and not tomorrow. Cast your anxieties on the creator of the highlighted clouds, the rays of light and and early morning dew.
Let us acknowledge the LORD;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth. (Hosea 6:3)
